You will work alongside our internal design team to code, maintain and improve a number of customer-facing websites from static, one-page websites to large, dynamic, CMS-driven websites. These will be lightweight, fast and responsive sites that work well across all devices all over the world.


Job Description
Your role will include:

Development of responsive, browser-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery using JPEGs/PSDs or prototype wireframes provided to you by internal design team
Integration of HTML and dynamic files into a CMS framework, currently Expression Engine
Deploying projects across multiple environments (Development, Staging, Production)
Staying up-to-date on the latest front-end technologies and methodologies
Managing your own time responsibly and effectively so deadlines and expectations are met and often exceeded
Advancement of web development skills through independent learning, with special attention paid to Web Design, Expression Engine tools and technologies

Personal Specification
Required skills and experience:

A degree in a web development centred course, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design, JavaScript, jQuery and GitHub
Experience of working with Bootstrap
Knowledge of CSS pre-processors, e.g. SASS
An understanding of web site optimisation and best practices
Deep understanding of cross browser and platform compatibility
Past collaboration with Clients and Designers
Good intuition and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment
Ability to manage own work efficiently and be able to meet tight deadlines when needed
Confident in use of UNIX Command Line (SSH)

Desired skills and experience:

Familiarity with PHP, AJAX, JSON and platforms such as WordPress and ExpressionEngine
